After due reflection of the full regulations and guidance, from Sunday the 30th May, and

bearing in mind the vulnerability of most who attend church and because of the age of your

priest (!) and the congregation, but on the other hand also bearing in mind the large size of

the building, at St Peter’s we will, for the time being, continue at worship to observe the


• 2m distancing (sit every other pew) for all parts of worship, regardless of singing or

not will continue, as we have plenty of space and this will much lessen the risk to

each other

• Masks are still recommended though not now legally compulsory. I leave this to

your discretion, but strongly encourage you to wear a mask especially when singing

• Hymn books are now allowed to be used again and so will be.

• The good practice in providing hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit of the Church

will continue. Please ALL use the sanitizers in and out of the Church

• The one way system in the Church will continue

• The building MUST be well ventilated after each act of worship.

• Communion MUST remain in one kind only at present.

• Changes in the level of Covid found in Jersey may mean that in the future, the above

could be either further relaxed or indeed strengthened, as appropriate.
